How to find Job After Completing B.Tech in Kerala: My Tips

Kerala has witnessed unemployment issue since its formation in 60 years ago. Kerala as a state developed in education ,healthcare and infrastructure ,But it still miles away in creating jobs for its densely populated highly educated population. In 1970 at the peak of un-employment ,Middle east migration and further gulf remittance helped Kerala very much . Now down the lane in 2000,where middle east countries became self sufficient and trying to impose localization (avoid foreign works) .Now its IT companies that came for the rescue of Kerala un-employment issue. here with this is article i am trying to sharing my experience.


  • Total number of Engineering/ BTech colleges in Kerala ?

Around 160 engineering colleges are there in Kerala.(It includes national,Kerala government,aided,self financing colleges )

  • Is it difficult to find job in Kerala after engineering?

Yes it is.Since industries are less in small Kerala,it is indeed very difficult to find a engineering job here in kerala. Despite this there are many companies working in Kerala.I am here trying to list out companies.

Step 2: Register in Local Kerala Job consultancies and agencies

There are 100 plus job consultancies working in private

Step 3: Subscribe and read local newspaper classifieds 

  • Subscribe to Kerala local newspapers and job magazines. Daily more than 10 vacancies are outing in newspapers. All you have to do is find the advertisement and call them straight.

Step 4 : Look for job fairs organized 

  • There are many job fairs organized in this small state Kerala. Its all about getting the correct information about this event and attend it.

Step 5: Reference and recommendations 

  • Nothing will work like pure reference and recommendations when it comes job finding

Step 6. Attend maximum interviews as possible

Step 8.Get Internship programs  in Public companies with out salary
